Featured on MSN: Named One of the Top 10 Inspiring Women Leaders in 2026

Bay Area brand photographer, business coach, podcast host, brand strategist, and creative director Katie Monroe was recently recognized by MSN as one of the Top 10 Inspiring Women Leaders in 2026: an honor that reflects nearly two decades of building strategy-driven businesses, mentoring creatives, and helping founders and entrepreneurs show up with clarity, intention, and visual authority.

Being named to this list is something I genuinely did not see coming. I do not do this work to collect recognition. I do this work because I believe deeply that when a business owner shows up with a clear, elevated brand presence, everything changes for them. The clients they attract, the confidence they feel, the way their business grows. That is what drives me every single day.

The MSN feature describes me as "a creative leader, photographer, and educator with 18 years of experience building strategy-driven businesses in the creative industry." Reading those words was a full-circle moment. Because when I started this work, I was simply a photographer who loved connecting with people and capturing meaningful moments. What I built over time, through trial and error, through real clients and real growth, through building a team and eventually a mentorship program, was something much bigger than I originally planned.

Today I lead three interconnected businesses. Kreate Photography, where I photograph weddings and lifestyle sessions for couples and families across Northern California. Katie Monroe Brand Photography, where I work with founders, coaches, consultants, wellness professionals, and service-based entrepreneurs across the San Francisco Bay Area to build visual systems that actually support business growth. And The Kreate Collective, where I mentor photographers and creative business owners through my Momentum Method program, helping them build profitable, sustainable businesses they genuinely love.

The through line across all three is the same. Strategy first. Relationships always. Creativity with intention.

What the MSN feature also captured is something I think about constantly: the idea that creativity and systems are not opposites. They work together. The most beautiful brand work I have ever produced came from a deeply strategic foundation. The clearest coaching breakthroughs I have witnessed came when creatives stopped running on hustle and started running on clarity.

That is the work. And I am grateful every single day that it is mine to do.

To be recognized alongside nine other extraordinary women leaders in fields ranging from law to healthcare to wellness to education is genuinely humbling. Each of us found our way to doing work that matters. Each of us built something that serves people beyond ourselves. That is the kind of leadership I believe in.

If you are a founder, coach, consultant, or entrepreneur in the San Francisco Bay Area who is ready to build a brand presence that actually reflects the level of your expertise, I would love to talk. And if you are a creative business owner who is ready to stop guessing and start growing with intention, The Kreate Collective was built for you.

Thank you to MSN for this recognition. And thank you to every client, student, and collaborator who has trusted me with their brand, their business, and their story over the past 18 years. This is for all of you.
